RELIGIOUS PERSECUTION IN PAKISTAN |
|
With all the
talk of human rights in the world, particularly by the United States, it is strange that
such events occur without the slightest response by those who claim to be concerned about
the welfare off all people. Human rights
policies are shaped by political and economic interests, including the power of
petro-dollars and global arms sales. The United States, the self-proclaimed great champion
of human rights, is also the greatest seller of arms in the world and its best buyers are
Islamic countries.
In addition the demolition draws comparison with the destruction of Babri Masjid or
Babar's mosque by Hindu groups in India during December 1992. |
