SANKARANAYINAR KOIL

The pineal gland is stated by author of the book Yoga, Higher and Lower as "the chief organ of spiritualism in human  brain, the seat of genius, the magical sesameuttered by the purified will of mystic, which opens all avenues of truth for him who knows how to use it" (C B V Rajam, Aiyar: Rambles in the Vedanta).

These are the two glands where the minds operate and, in the case of the "seizure" by devils, the mind of the devil or the ghost for the time being displaces the mind of the victim and functions on the site of these important nerve centres.
