Bagialinga Tambiran performed Poojas day and night and heard the difficulties of Bhaktas.
He collected enormous wealth for the temple. Nobody could say 'No' to him. Tambiran spent
the rest of his life in constructing the beautiful temple, which now adorns Vadapalani. This Tambiran was a famous saint and an ardent Saivite. He attained
salvation only 20 years ago. The tombs of the three saints, Annaswamy Nayagar, Ratnavel
Chettiar and Bagialinga Tambiran are at a distance of one furlong from the temple. Even
today the picture brought by Annaswamy Nayagar from Palani is on the north wall of the
temple and is worshipped by the devotees. |
