| Thus his love of religion which expressed itself in the service of humanity, particularly in the humane services extended to the down-trodden and the dumb world brought him undying fame ad international following. His unflagging religious zeal which culminated in the monumental contributions to spiritualism ultimately transformed what was an insignificant local sect into a world religion. No wonder that his remarkable religion is followed by one third of the population of the world after two and twenty centuries of its birth. It made Asoka immortal and the land of his birth a paradise. It is alive, and will live as long as that little faculty of sanity remains in human brain, we can infer! Can't we? |
