Receiving
the prasad, after drinking in the eyeful divine beauty of the
Mother, we emerge and direct our steps to Malleswara Swamy Temple, a
little distance off, but on the same lndrakila. On the way we are
enticed as it were by the divinities installed under a tree, grown a
little higher than the passage. By ascending a few steps, we are
greeted by innumerable little images of several deities,, prominent
being Mother Kali, Siva, Krishna etc. near an ant-hill, covered and
smeared with turmeric powder and saffron marks. This seat of
Nagadevata is worshipped with rituals due. It is believed that this
Ant hill is existing
since the Dwaparayuga. Many devotees availed the darsan of a cobra
moving about and they worshipped it; for it is deemed as Lord
Subrahmanya in the form of serpent.
