ARCHAMURTHI
An
enchanting four-foot-high icon of Mother kanakadurga gleams into our
sight even before entering the garbhagriha. She is Swayambhu - self
manifest and is placed on a high on
standing posture with eight potent weapons,
like art, Sankha, Keta, Sula, Pasa, Ankusa,
Mourvi and Sanka. The image is designed
in the standing pose over the demon Mahisha
and piercing him with her powerful sula. Her
round enchanting visage wreathed in smiles looks
aglow with golden hues mesmerizes the viewers.
It seems sculptured by divine master artists and is superb in
details like posture, genstures, proportions of the dimension
fitting to the stature
chosen. This majestic image appear; loveliest
in her dazzling decoration and floral decoration. The sandal paste
decoration sending thrills in
spines brings the palms together from every visitor.
