The Vedas enshrine adequate evidence of pujas offered
to the female deities, like Prithivi - Bhumata, Vac-Vagdevi; Ushas - the dawn.
These indeed belong to higher cat, egory, but there existed secondary figures,
like Ila, Ratri etc., and were adored duly befitting their station in life.
Later, that energy
supreme and immanent required personnel in several denominations for the onerous
act of ruling and perpetuating her hold on all - animate and inanimate. She
released forthwith several amsas from her potent body. The process went on. Her
awesome powers were demonstrated through countless forms from her seat in
Manidweep. This abode was a grandiose and formidable one, fit for her august
position, and highest office. She then established her supreme and absolute,
infinite and inexhaustible power over Trimurtis, holding the offices of
creation, protection and destruction. They were her own creations emerged to assets
her in her divine work. For smooth running
and unhindered progress, she produced Trimurtinis - Lakshmi, Saraswathi and Parwathi
and endowed them with Ichchasakti, Gnanasakti and Kriyasakti.
