SRIKALAHASTI

And the devotees who received the Lord's blessings are legion and belong to the four yugas, and what is more the cycles of yugas went by infinite times. This Mokshapuri was variously called in each yuga, like Brahmapura in the Kritayuga, Vishnupura in the Tretayuga Naradapura in the Dwapara and Varaguna Pura in the Kaliyuga. Another mysterious feature about the archamurthi that deserves mention is the linga too has been appearing in different hues in different times, like the golden, in the Kritayuga, silvery in the Tretayuga, matalic in the Dwaparayuga and granite in Kaliyuga.

Enshrining with such countless miracles and legends the presiding deity-Sri Kalahastiswara is answering every genuine call of true devotees day in and day out, and so endeared himself as the surest refuge to the saranagatas of all times and climes from devas to kitakas.
