Thoroughly
illumined, I joined the vanguard of devotees going in a pilgrimage
to witness a spectacular annual festival taking place in an ancient
temple city. As the vehicle was going smoothly, there came a hair
pin bend on the road of pilgrims progress - there were seen hurdles
placed by our own associates and trying deliberately to push the
vehicle into the ravine. Standing right in front at a distance, they
obstructed the smooth progress and robbed the joy of our journey
with heckling sounds, polluting the invigorating atmosphere charged
with cool fragrant breeze anointing our bodies.
When stretched the
gaze to looking and get a clear perspective of the place of that
damnable noise, we saw to our dismay a group of atheists in the
company of their like minds, such as rationalist,, agnostics,
non-conformists; dogmatist,, sectarians, and a host of them in every
shade of their brood howling in tones loud - "Ah! look how the
religious idiocy is proceeding towards the temples to worship that
lifeless, shameless decadent objects in queer shapes and fantastic
names.
