Above
all, this is the only, kshetra reckoned as one of the Ashtadasa
saktipeethas that witnessed numerous spectacular miracles
demonstrated by Mother Bramarambika both in complicity with
Paramasiva, reverentially christened here as Linga chakravarthy, or
by herself - singly. Among them, armoring of Shivaji Maharaj, the
Maharastrian lion with an invisible sword that became instrumental
for creation of a great Hindu empire and freeing the Bharat from the
Mlechcha domination over a great part of western India takes a much
coveted place. The principal character is Mother Bramarambika, whose
timely appearance saved the life of one indomitable Nationalist
warrior, who under adverse circumstance reached her seat for mental
solace and illumination. The other character is Shivaji, the
Maharastrian leader who down with defeat on waging a relentless war
against the Muslim confederate forces. The time of action is around
March 1677 A.D. The end, of course was the inauguration of digvijaya
yatra and victory of Dharma over adharma establishment of
Maharastrian empire on subduing the disconsolate allied forces of
Muslim rulers.
