ONTHE TOWERS, WATERS AND ARANYAS
THE
TOWERS
The
temple has two unusually huge and lofty towers visible to miles a
far, and the ring of sanctity hovering over them raises the palms of
the devout at their mere sight itself. Tradition has that if a
darsan of them assures janmarahitya. Besides instilling bhakti
instincts, they send thrills in the spines by their imposing height
and sculptural excellences. Pilgrims utter Bhagawan's name at their
sight and it is believed that the darsan of the vimana confers
special merits, like relieving devotee from the cycle of births and
deaths.
