Bathing in the month of ANI - the Tamil month is considered to very efficacious.

This has a long tale and holds out many promises. In accordance with the Puranas, those who bathe in this punya thirtha are blessed with health, wealth, strength, money, fame, power and what not. Above all barren will be blessed with sons at it. It imposes certain austerities on the aspirants, like bathing, fasting, offering prayer services etc., and if done with all sincerity, they are assured of Vishnuloka.
