THE ASRAMAS

He starts loving the deer, cow and other animals of the forest. He becomes fearless and they love him. In this way, he prepares himself to enter the next Asrama.

Sanyasa is the last stage of man’s life. This word means giving up love of everything.

With the permission of his wife and Guru, a Vanaprastha becomes Sanyasi uttering the proper mantras. When he becomes a Sanyasi, he has no interest in life. He does
not think of his home, wealth, and children or even his own health.

All the time he contemplates on God with Whom he wants to become one.

The long wiry cane a Sanyasi carries show  that he controls his mind, speech and action. The saffron cloth he wears shows he has driven passion out of his mind.
