Accordingly his two
disciples went to a forest and there they found a tank on the bank of which a white Kunrai
tree was in full blossom. They were immensely pleased at the sight and one of them climbed
up the tree while the other remained at the foot to catch the flowers plucked and thrown
from the tree. While doing so some flowers casually
fell into the water and they instantaneously turned into fish. The flowers that slipped
from the hands and fell on the ground were transformed into parrots.
This mysterious occurrence and apparent miracle diverted their
attention. Obviously, while watching the situation, they for the time being forgot all
about their mission and delayed taking the flowers for the worship of Lord Siva.
Nandikeswara became impatient and went in the way the disciples had gone. |
