Fridays, Saturdays and Tiruvona Star days are the special days for worship of the deity.
Similarly there are many other Teertharris as Saranga, Surya, Indral and Brahma.
Besides, there are Dakshina Ganga, Dakshina. Godavari and Dakshina Yamuna. These
thme--rivers are the most sacred rivers of India. They complained to Lord Mahavishnu that
all sinners were taking bath in their water and thereby they contracted their sins. As a
remedy for the same, God ordered them to join with the Kaveri water which at Sarangapani
temple of Kumbakonarn flows as two rivulets, just like a garland. |
