KUSUMA SRESHTI
His life on earth began in the dim past - to be precise during the reign of
Swarochisha Manu, the patriarch venerable and a reputed emperor of Bharata
Khanda. He was named Samadhi then and led a righteous life. He was highly
religious and developed great passion of everything godly. On account of
excessive obsession with paraloka chintana, he decided to perform penance in
deep woods.
Convincing his family members - particularly his dharmapathni and
loving children he went to forest. To his good fortune, he met a great Brahmin
scholar well-versed in the Vedic lore. Learning from him secrets of life and
sports of Sri Mahavishnu to his heart's satisfaction, he did penance
propitiating MOTHER Omkaraswarupini for three long years to get himself
liberated from the cycle of births and deaths.
She graced darsan, pleased with
his austure tapas. When questioned the objective of his penance, he said that he
wanted emancipation along with his own gotrikas numbering
101 and all must leave behind a splendid record of
self sacrifice and exemplary ideals for the world to adore and implement for
Viswasreyas.
