KUSUMAMBIKA
She
was a replica of Bharatanari and born to Manikundala, a famous Vysya, enjoying
high status and noble pedigree. She was given in marriage to Kusuma Sreshti, the
illustrious feudal lord serving Chalukya bhupathis ruling from Rajamahendravaram.
An
ideal wife as she was, lived for the name and fame of his loving husband and as
an exemplary mother who lavished all affection on her twins. On account of
inimitable chaste life she led in her previous births, and she mothered,
nurtured Vasavamba, the incarnation of Paramba. She enjoyed the darsan of
Jaganmatha several times during both prosperity and adversity.
