So
build a temple and install a statue which you will get at the place,
where the axle of the chariot fall. So start the search this morning
itself and you will get a rare image, the like of which has not been
installed by any in the past. You will get merit, and the future
remembers and honours you as a great benefactor of the theistic
world." Deeming the injunction a bolt from blue, he followed
the chariot on this errand in all sincerity, with zeal surging
faster than his body being borne in his chariot. As it proceeded,
the axle fell on its own accord at this spot, where the present
temple stands. After clearing the thick foliage, he found this rare
find which stupefied him, since it bore the most adorable forms of
Sri Mahavishnu - Kesavaswamy and Jaganmohini on fore and rear. Soon
the entire state machinery was geared up. And lo! in months, a
temple of imposing stature came up. With Agamic injuctions the
statue was installed, when pomp and splendour reached the apex to
herald to the high heaven that a shrine of supreme spiritual
significance came into being at this spot. The King and the people
were benefited beyond description. The deity by showering
munificence on the worshippers became a much-adored celebrity with
rare charms externally, and a sure refuge internally. 'Rali' is the
Telugu word for fall, as the axle fell at this place, so this place
was fittingly calld Rali, which became Ryali later.
