It has a great
attraction for the barren couple and has blessed them with children, when poojas
were offered to the deity. There are many thirthas and temples above and at the
foot of Kumara Parvatha, lying very near this temple.
The Kumara
parvatha was the venue of Lord Subrahmanya's marriage with Valli. Besides, it
was here his investiture ceremony of Field-Marshal ship of Devasena was
performed with all fanfare due. Hence very sacred. There are millions of pebbles
on the hill resembling lingas which the pilgrims collect and bring home for
pooja purpose. There is a furlong long cave here and is held very sacred; people
enter through the Bilwadvara-frontal entrance and come out of it on the
otherside deeming it meritiorious; for it is here Nagendra lived and so very
holy. With all these and more, it is holding irresistible attraction to theists
in particular and all in general.
