Strangely, enough they not only receive regular daily worship but first
offering-Agrapuja with naivedyam.
The
Gramadevathas thus have perched at the most covetable place in the pantheon of
Hindu gods. The west too emulated this tradition. History and mythologies, if
tapped at the right place, information bumps and stupefy the readers. They are
in no way less important than the most worshipful deities taking their seats in
the imposing mandirs. Stand and salute them, if you come across them at any
place, any time and in any name too. Their very office is sacred and auspicious,
and their vigil ensures safety and prosperity.
