Here again the imp of uncertainty revealed its
question mark face, since for more than half a dozen Sakthi-Peethas, the author
pleads his inability to furnish any information. His honest confession is to be
appreciated than scoffed at. The truth that something is better than nothing
propelled me into action and a straight away I completed the writing part with
300 fixed as the target figure. At this juncture there procured another voluminous
book masterly authored on Saktisthalas exclusively. It is no doubt
enshrining many Saktisthalas, but craftily it kept itself aloof from the Sakti-Peethas.
Neither the list is included, nor any attempt made to discover their location.
Whatever relevant was exacted and added to the write-ups already completed. The
number then went up to 330. Presuming the excess number enjoys a happy welcome
by the radar, I did not delete them although the target is 300 and is printed in
the title page too. With this, the Pusthuka Chatushtaya contains not 1116, but
more, say 30 more than the number thought of, when the blue print was drawn.
As
in the previous volumes, I arranged them state wise and furnished information on
conveyance etc. Here again some difficulty revealed its dimal face with regard
to conveyance on account of its inability to appear in its exactness and
fullness in the books used.
