SANESWAR BHAGAWAN OF MANDAPALLI

Seeing the people worshipping with great ardour after crossing the unending hurdles in life, the Saptamatrikas installed the image of Parvathi for worship. Lord Brahma too thought of installing another linga, and he did. It is called Brahmeswara linga. On this auspicious occasion, Karkotaka, the king of serpents installed another linga, and it is going by the name of Nageswar linga. Then came up another temple enshrining the image of Venu gopalaswamy installed by Goutama, one of the Sapatarishis. Thus, there exist now side by side five famous temples receiving prayers by the the theist community. Besides, there are several kinds of thirthas, like Aswartha Thirtha, Pippala Thirtha, SanaKa Thirtha, Agasthya Thirtha, Satrika Thirtha, Yagnika Thirtha, Samaga Thirtha etc., created by sages and gods from time to time. It is believed that there are fourteen thousand one hundred and eight thirthas scattered all over and taking bath in them is quite efficacious. And it ensures success, health and wealth. Its glory went on increasing in all the yugas thence onwards. A visit is paying;  praying is consoling.
