THE
TEMPLE
The
temple complex is located in the centre of a moderate township and
is built in the Dravidian style of architecture. It has five
principal shrines, within the prakaram. The presiding deities in
three of them through go by the names of Saneswara, Brahmeswar,
Nageswara, they are siva lingas only. And they are made of black
stone. There is an image of Saturn in the Saneswaralaya
perpetuating the entire event. Draped in dark blue dress and adorned
with garlands and jewels, it feasts the eyes of the beholders and
blesses them munificently. It consoles them that one must face the
shocks and losses of life with great composure as ordained by the
All-Powerful Providence. Good and bad fortunes alternate in
succession and each has its message, and it is to be accepted.
Frankly speaking, the adorers experience a change coming over them
at the sight or the image of Saturn responsible for the emergence of
these five alayas. And it convinces them that one must accept the
God given lot without grumble. Surely this laudable consolation, can
never come from any shrine what so ever built anywhere and at
anytime too. Its uniqueness lures theists and it is liberating them
beyond doubt.
