Later Saturn assuming the form of Brahmin urchin sought pippala for Vedadhyayan. Unsuspecting pippala admitting him into his Gurukula swallowed without loss of time. But .was quite ignorant of Saturn's strategy. Saturn slitting opening his stomach on cutting his intestines into countless fragments came out and relieved the afflicted from disasters. The jubiliant brahmins in ecstacy praised him and the sages including the redoubtable Agasthya showered on him boons. And the redeemer Saturn proclaimed that whoever circumbulates the Aswartha tree on Saturday will be free from the disaster of ill-luck. Those taking bath in the Saneswara thirtha there which he materialised at will to atone himself from the sin of hatya, and worship the Aswatha tree will be absolved of all sins.
