Yet
there is another version that Lord Siva showered Kanaka on a
righteous king once. It runs-there was once a poor woman living by
selling tamarind - intrini jeevini during the reign of Madhava varma
in the beginning of Kaliyuga, as early as Saka year 177. He was
renowned for Dharmaparipalana and holding scales even always - he
went by the merits of complaints than the persons involved. He was
above swa-para distinctions. So became popular here and above. Gods
too were contented more than the subjects in fact. This
intrini-jeevini had a son, an only one at it. She brought him up
well and intended to lean on him during old age. But he was killed
by the prince by accident than intent. With eyes streaming and face
pathetic - a perfect copy of Sokadevatha, she stood before the king
Madhava Varma for justice, as he was justice personified. Listening
to the prosecution and learning that the accused was his son, he at
once passed the verdict-death by hanging to the prince; the scales
were kept even. The whole assembly hailed him as Nyayadevatha. The
uproarious joy rending the sky, reached the mount Kailas. The
All-Compassionate Lord Siva appeared right on the dias and showered
kanaka on the king for upholding justice.
