Maduramangalam - Perumal Temple

This ancient Vaishnava kshetra has the distinction of claiming the birth place of two eminent mata pravaktas - Govinda Bhattar and Embanar, who strove hard to propagate bhakti cult and to turning people god-wards through their acts, discourses and writings. The temple is very ancient, yet possessing all the essential parts in sound condition. On account of the sanctity of the birth of these acharyas, highly advanced intellectuals visit this place both for inspiration and adoration of the presiding deity. Nithyanaimithika worship is going on with unbroken periodicity.

It lies 12 km off Sunkuvari chavadi near Perambadur and accessible by four wheelers from nearby towns.
