HINDU DHARMA AND THE CLASH OF CULTURES
We are also beginning to witness the revival of native and pagan religions that under medieval religious rule and colonial domination were suppressed. There is a return of polytheism, accepting many names and forms for Divinity, and the worship of the Goddess. There is a new interest in the older European religions of the Greeks and the Kelts, and the older Mediterranean religions of Egypt  and Babylonia. The New Age movement in the West is picking up many Hindu related ideas like karma and rebirth. Native American beliefs are become more active again and gaining more respect.

Hinduism as the oldest and largest of the pagan and non-biblical beliefs will benefit by such renewed interest.

Sister religions to Hinduism like Buddhism and Taoism are gaining global acceptance and experiencing a revival. In the Western world there is seldom a major city that does not have besides churches, synagogues and mosques, Hindu, Buddhist or Taoist temples and other religious sites. Even some forms of Christianity are adding to meditation to their practices. This all must give more credibility to Yoga and meditation oriented traditions like the Hindu. Missionary groups are beginning to be exposed for the great harm they have caused historically. Christians have apologized to Black Africans for their mistreatment of them. Such a trend may expand eventually to include Christian and Islamic apologies for their oppression of Hindus.
