SITANAGAR AND ITS TEMPLES On the southern side of river Krishna, there are several shrines of great spiritual significance of both antiquity and modernity. This thirtha kshetra is called Sitanagar. There are as many as five holy shrines - Sri Venkateswaraswamy temple, Kodandaramaswamy temple, Anjaneya swamy temple, Someswaraswamy temple and Mondi Anjaneyaswamy temple. Each is imbued with a special divinity of its own and is most visit-worthy for reasons many. Their origins are so fascinating that they lure pious men on mere mention. Of them, Sri Anjaneya Swamy temple comes first. |
