When he opened the doors of temple shut for about 151 long years, he found to his shock inside, the lamp burning bright and everything there kept spic and span. Oh what a miracle! Will the divine jyoti need feeding by man, lost in pursuit of glittering objects? Some enlightened bhaktas then realising the folly formed into a committee and started renovating with unprecedented ardour. Soon an imposing structure enshrining several enchanting images, like Sri Mahakali, Sri Mahalakshmi and Sri Mahasaraswati, Sri Lakshmi Ganapathi along with Sri Mritinjaya, Navagrahas etc. camp up. And in March, 1991 after making eye-catching additions it was declared open for public worship. Indeed it is raising the glory of Vijayawada by igniting spiritual instincts with several devotional activities. And it is an ardently visited Sakti temple next to that of Sri Mata Kanakadurgeswari. As it is modem with new look and fresh dazzle if deserves indispensable visitation and soulful adoration. The Goddesses too are conferring boons on the genuine worshippers.
