ON FAITH AND PRESEVERANCE

You are now convinced that neither age nor size could set limitations to one's capacity to serve his motherland. Implicit faith and single-minded devotion would accomplish the cherished ideal. Go ahead armored with them, and soon you will reach the goal.

Then, the factors that help to cultivate such noble traits like duty and discipline merit deep discussion and careful analysis. Among the many that contribute their quota for the acquisition of such enviable qualities, 'faith' comes first. It acts as the basement over which stands kindred qualities.

"What is faith? In what? And Why? You desire to know. Don't you? Indeed it deserves elucidation. And illustrations too.

'Faith' is nothing but trust'. If simplified, it means 'belief'. Qualify it, it becomes 'strong belief'. If versified, it changes into 'reliance! Oratory adds to it unflinching' or unstinted to justify its heat and sound. Its connotation is thus wide, and covers a lot of ground. It is affixed to many concepts such as faith in self 'faith in others' and 'faith in God' are some such concepts. Let us now consider each and understand their import individually, one after another.
