AHOBALAM

Many of the ruling princes visited this Ahobalam and offered their worship; some of them presented to the temple Utsava murthis like King Prataparudra; some, several invaluable jewels, like Krishna Devaraya; some others like Vikramaditya of the Western Chalukyas of Kalyan many vahanas and made endownments in the form of lands and' construction and renovation of temples. Inscriptional evidence starts with Chalukya Kings of Kalyan and their endownments are inscribed and preserved. Some of the over enthusiastic ardent devotees among the rulers like Prataparudra had strange experiences that only registers Lord's boundless affection for his devotees and correcting them then and there for blissful life.
