Vijayawada
- Vijayadri Venkateswaraswamy Aalayam
This
little yet mighty modern Balaji temple that came into existence very
recently has certain covetable features which hasten the steps of
the readers or listeners at once to it, for indispensable darsan of
the Lord. Not one only, but as many as fifteen of the most
adoration-worthy murtis occupying the highest places in the pantheon
of Hindu gods. The very conception and execution of the plan must be
applauded first, since the firm resolve to accommodate fifteen
deities in so scanty a space of thirty square yards not only
reflects the builders deer devotion but humanism. It was achieved
miraculously well to the satisfaction of temple visiting public
belonging to any denomination, as a matter of fact. Would ever the
congregated grace of the gods sink the devout builders in the
bottomless sea? Never that happens. Hence the devotees are now
availing the darsan of the most adorable gods, like Dhanalakshmi,
Siddhi Vinayaka, Sitarama, Chandramurti, Lakshmi Narasimhamurti,
Malleswaraswamy, Subrahmanyaswamy, Brahma, Adisesha,
Suryanarayanamurti, Anjaneyaswamy, Ayyappaswamy, Navagrahas,
presided over by Lord Venkateswaraswamy, the Kalkavatar of
Srimannarayana. Modernity peeping from every inch of the image of
each divinity keeps the viewers gaze and gape, yet involuntarily
join palms in soulful veneration. The steady streams of devotees
both in the mornings, and evenings is a sure index of the popularity
of the temple and ingenuity of the builders. Hats off to the
builders for keeping open such a treasure for public.
This
lies in the Kasturibaipet of Vijayawada, accessible by town bus or
by walk even.
