HOW THE RAMAYANA WAS BORN |
|
The disciple
also agreed it was so.
The rishi said, "May it remain so!"
Valmiki then bathed in the river and performed his daily ablutions. On his way back to the
ashrama, he kept on thinking of the incident and its unexpected outcome. Disciple
Bharadwaja followed the master, carrying the pitcher of water.
Back at the ashrama, Valmiki went through the daily chores, all the while revolving in his
mind the happening of the morning.
As the rishi was thus engaged, God Brahma walked into the ashrama. Feeling highly
honoured by the visit, Valmiki welcomed him in the prescribed manner by washing his feet
and offering him milk and fruits. |
