HOW THE RAMAYANA WAS BORN |
|
Brahma made
kind enquiries of the welfare of the ashrama and the pupils.
After being seated, Brahma asked Valmiki, "You seem immersed in some serious thought.
I can see what goes on in your
mind.
"You are going over the verse that came out of your lips this morning wondering at
its perfection. I may tell you that it was I who made you sing that verse. It is perfect.
Starting with it, compose the story of Rama in verse. Make known to the world and
for all time, the story of that Dharmatma, the wise and brave Rama, as you heard from
Narada. |
