Failure to
Create a Bharatiya Kshatriya Model: According to
the traditional Hindu views as expressed in teachings like the Bhagavad Gita and
Mahabharata a country needs a strong and Dharmic Kshatriya (political/military or warrior)
class to rule it. Only those of a Kshatriya temperament have the character, common sense
and force of personality to control the evil elements in society, and protect the country
from its enemies, which India has in great abundance as a Hindu majority democracy
surrounded by Islamic and Communist totalitarian and semi-totalitarian states.
This failure in leadership models is reflected in a failure to create a new Kshatriya,
a topic that will be discussed at length in the following chapters. Mahatma Gandhi himself, overemphasizing non-violence which in
traditional Hinduism is essentially a Sannyasa Dharma or practice for monks and
renunciates, failed to give credibility to the Kshatriya element in society and gave
Hindus the impression that it was wrong to defend themselves or to even have an army.
This resulted in Hindus abandoning the political field to non-Hindus, whether those
of different religious persuasion, leftists, or merely opportunists. No positive political
class was created rooted in a Bharatiya ethos.
Instead Hindus have become more politically passive and
political forces have become more and more adharmic as well as anti-Hindu. Should Hindus
raise any Dharmic concerns in the political sphere they are attacked as communal by forces
themselves aligned with corruption and totalitarianism which are themselves communal and
often anti-national. This resulted in Hindus abandoning the political field to non-Hindus,

Should Hindus raise any Dharmic concerns in the political
sphere they are attacked as communal by forces themselves aligned with corruption and
totalitarianism which are themselves communal and often anti-national. To counter this
trend a new Bharatiya Kshatriya class needs to be created using traditional models going
back to Lord Rama and Yudhishthira, and reviving the Kshatriya teachings in the Vedas and
Mahabharata. The youth must be taught the importance of an authentic Kshatriya, including
the need for a good military and police force as means of protecting society. Youths of
Kshatriya bent should be honored for their sentiments and given a place within society to
function according to Bharatiya values. The Sikhs, originally a Hindu Kshatriya movement,
should be reintegrated into Hindu society. |
