Then came the tenure of Sri Virendra Heggade, which inaugurated an era of expansion. His far-sighted, benign policies and lofty-minded administrative reforms enabled the shrine grow into dasadisas - vertically, horizontally and circularly too. Being a devout theist in spirit, word and action, he dedicated himself to the service of the devotees and translating the truth of adage - service to humanity is service to Divinity. His English education and tours abroad made his fertile sensive mind blossom to the fullest extent and become responsible in introducing dynamism in every sphere of temple management.
