TYPES
OF SEVAS
Another
peculiarity observed here is the classification of rituals - the sevas offered
and grouping them into three categories- Uthamam, Madhyamam and Samanyam. The
charges vary according to mode and duration of seva. Some aspiring artistes
offer trimadhura naivedyam and take it home believing that they acquire
intellectual eminence by consuming it regularly for a period
of 40 days. Some, after jobs offer kumkumarchana, and the ailing Vada Naivedyam
for curing physical ailments. Kashaya thirtham - a mixture of ginger, jaggery,
pepper, lavangam, Tupli and cardamom is distributed to the visitors after pujas
to the MOTHER. It is equally auspicious and powerful in curing diseases. Hence
the craze. The benevolent MOTHER grants everything and withholds nothing to the
ardent aspirants, particularly to the professionals in the fields of fine arts.
Moreover, those who seek Siddhi in yantra, thantra and mantra visit and pray for
days.
