The routine prayer services begin with Nirmalyam seva at 5.30 AM followed by Dantadhavana pooja and Udayakalapuja. The elaborate Noon Pooja begins at 11'0 clock and goes up to 1'O clock, and with Mangalaharati, it comes to a close. The Pradosha puja commences at 7 PM and it is then the devotional fervor emerges in a spectacular way. The image of Virabhadra is given equal importance in all, as exemplified in offering every puja to him after the sevas in the garbha griha. The Utsavamurti which is taken round the shrine is brought to Saraswati Mandap where Mangalarati and ashtavadhana sevas are offered with rituals due. It is a sight to see and an experience to be locked up in memory. The artistes, like vocalists and instrumentalists who come from distant places give their performances. After this, the Utsava murthi is taken back to sanctum sanctorum. It is now, the famous Kashaya thirtham is distributed, which the tradition says was, introduced by Sri Sankara Bhavatpada. As it has medicinal value, it is greatly craved for. With this the temple is closed.
