CONTENTMENT AND AMBITION |
|
Truthfulness, which he assiduously cultivates yields him courage, strength and
guidance to face any untoward calamity in his march. He develops a, pious out-
look that sublimates his gross and transitory desires. His well-groomed
righteous instincts drain his passions dry and make them dry like hay, if any.
Understanding of the higher values, like the immortality of the soul and mystery
of the creation being his sole concern, he is indifferent to loss or gain, pain
or pleasure. Hence he slowly gets himself detached from this sinful world and
craves to get released from the mortal coils into which he was thrown by
destiny. Cares touch him not, nor worries leave on his crystal brow any mark of
their visitation. He is above them, conquering before they raise their ugly
heads. He remains uncontaminated, though he is surrounded by them. He
triumphantly comes out unscathed in the end. Finally he becomes one with the
immortal soul that could be neither burnt, buried, drowned, or drenched.
