King Sarabhoji was utterly disappointed at this reply as he knew it fully well that it was a new-moon day for which he had come to take bath at the confluence of the Kaveri.

He remarked: "What the attendant Brahmins said seems to be correct." The King moved to leave the temple. The noise caused by his camp followers for making way to the King brought the priest back to the earth. King Sarabhoji,seeing the priest comes back to normalcy, directly asked him: "Were you not in proper senses? The King's orders will set you
right if it is proved that today is not a full-moon day". Saying

This he went away. The threat of the King created fear in the mind of the priest and he recollected that what he had told the King was not correct. The priest being aware of the consequences prayed to Abhiramasundari chanting hymns, which outpoured spontaneously from his mouth and he was in ecstasy.
