Likewise,
he used to transform, the ordinary into extraordinary and keep his
followers and common people in reverential awe. And always, and
everywhere. He toured extensively and received Bikshas and pujas
from people of all kinds-kings to commoners. Wherever the banner of
his humanism fluttered, he thrilled the people by his miracles. All
produced to relieve people from problems threatening with
extinction. It was a Digvijayayatra throughout the length and
breadth of the South, covering Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and
Andhra Pradesh particularly. His humanitarianism lifted countless
dhukarthis and showered nectar in the dreary desert that the life
was. So the moment people heard of his visit, the whole place used
to turn itself into mini-Vaikuntha, with festivities and bhajans
etc., reverberating the entire region for days. He sanctified every
spot he visited and blessed every one that approached him. The huge
concourse of sishyas and devotees following him everywhere gave the
impression of Rajadhiraja following the sacred horse of the great
Aswamedhayaga of Vedic times. Miracle after miracle followed during
his tour and regaled one and all besides relieving the public from
ever-worrying problems and worries. So he was hailed as Pratyaksha
Daivam, and was venerated fittingly.
