AS
HOUSEHOLDER
Though
he ascended the highest seat in the realm of ancient Sanskrit
knowledge, he remained poor - too poor to make both ends meet at any
time. Actually, the family spent many a meal-less day, but their
fortitude and culture kept them always at the crest of contented
existence. To added fuel to the fire, as it were, many students came
to him for learning the sacred lore. According to tradition, the
preceptor has to feed both body and mind of the Vidhyarthis. He
plodded along the dreary road of life, teaching, and still learning
the mysteries of ancient lore. And writing master-pieces besides.
