MANTRALAYA MAHAKSHETRA

GIVING LIFE TO THE DEAD & EMANCIPATING THE DESERVING

When he visited Kritagiri near Gadag, he accepted biksha of Raghunatha Desai, a powerful man of the area. By accident, his favourite little boy fell into the big vessel filled with mango juice, made for distribution among the guests. Horrified at the tragedy, he gave life to the host's son with sprinkling of water from his holy Kamandal. At another place one unfortunate Harijan by name Kanakadas was released from the shackles of sinful life with the thirtha given after the prayer to the idol of Sri Mula Rama, which was normally taken, wherever he went. That Kanakadas was incidentally his friend in his previous birth, and was responsible for the darsan of Sri Hari. Likewise, his superhuman powers were put to public benefit. Always! He conferred titles on the deserving writers and donors, when approached him forblessings. He also visited the courts of kings at their invitation for warding off evil forces, or calamities.
