Tiruppulingudi
- Kaaychinavenda Perumal Temple
This temple of recumbent Kaaychinavenda Perumal lies in close proximity to
Srivaikuntam town and as it is a very small harmlet, even the priests live in
SriVaikuntam always. The Moolavar's image lying on Adisesha with his consorts at
his feet is quite attractive and raises the hands of the visitors at the first
sight itself. The Goddesses are called Malarmagal Thayar and Pungudivalli Thayar.
Vedasara Vimana lends beauty to the garbha griha. There are two temple tanks and
go by the names of Varuna thirtha and Niruti thirtha. Dharmaraja, the
Pandavaagraja was given darsan by this Lord, and he returned home with the
choicest blessings showered on him. Nammalwar eulogised the Lord's glory in his
sweet Pasurams. Daily puja is offered with due devotion and the periodical
festivals are conducted regularly.
It lies 3 km
off Srivaikuntam town and accessible by rickshaw.
