This Vaishnava kshetra comes under Pandya nadu Divya Desams and is one among the
nine situated around Alwar Tirunagari region. The Moolavar
- Makaranedunkalaikkatha Perumal is in sitting posture facing east. He is
popular as Nigiri Mugilavanna Perumal also. He gave darsan to Brahma, Sukra and
Easanyarudra and fulfilled their desires. The Tayar is called Kulaikkaadhu Valli
and temple tank, Sukra Pushkarini. Bhadra Vimana beautifies the garbhagriha.
Nammalwar offered Mangalasasan to the Lord on his visit. Nithyanaimithika
worship is offered with due devotion according to agama tenets. There is a
Vanamamalaijeer Mutt here engaged in the propagational activities.
It
is very near Alwar Tirunagiri railway station and can be reached by walk or
cycle rickshaws.
