Tirukkulanthai
- Srinivasa Perumal Temple
This
ancient Vaishnava kshetra is one of the ten Divya Desams included in the
Tamraparni river temples group and close to Srivaikuntam too. The Moolavar
Srinivasa Perumal is in standing posture facing east. He gave darsan to
Brihaspathi and blessed him with boons of his choice. The Goddess is called
Alarmelmangai Tayar and the Pushkarini, Perungula thirtha. Anandanilaya Vimana
adorns the garbha griha and it is quite imposing. Nammalwar worshipped the Lord
with his fragrant Pasuramala. Nithyanaimithika worship is offered with great
religious fervor.
It
lies at about 10 km off Sri Vaikuntaam of Tirunelveli district of Tamilnadu and
accessible by bus or carts.
