VISNU SAHASRA-NAMA-II

We had occasion to note that some of the names of Siva are ascribed to Visnu. The names of other Gods also are attributed to Him, thereby identifying Visnu with all the Gods. Visnu is Brahma, Who creates an things (brahma, 663), the Golden Egg wherefrom all things emanate (hiranyagarbhah, 70, 411); He is Prajapati, the lord of beings, the father of all (prajapatih, 69, 197); He its Indra, the chief of the Gods (mahendrah, 268), Varuna, the setting sun (varunah, 553); bhanuh the radiant sun (284), the omniscient and effulgent Sun (sarvavid-bhanuh, 124); He is Aditya, the sun (adityah, 39), the effulgent Being in the disc of the sun (jyotir-adityah, 564), Surya who generates all things (suryah, 883), Savita who brings forth all worlds (savita, 884), Vasu that is the locus of all beings, or that resides in all beings (vasuh, 104), the wind-god who is in interspace (vasuh, 270), the one who exists in all beings without any distinction (vasuh 696); Tvasta who destroys all beings at the time of pralaya (tvasta, 52); Yama, the inner controller of all beings (yamah, 162); Nahusa, the binder of beings through maya (nahusah, 312); Soma, the Moon-God, who nourishes the plants, or Siva with Parvati (somah, 505); Guha, who veils His own nature through His maya (guhah, 383); Skanda who flows as nectar, dries up all things as wind, and dries up the demons (skandah, 327). 

Visnu is all the Gods, the first God (adidevah, 334, 490), the Lord of the immortals (amara-prabhuh, 49), the God of the Gods (devesah, 492; suresah, 85; suresvarah, 286; suradhyaksah, 134) ' the Delight of the Gods (Suranandah, 186), the Preceptor of the Gods (devabhrd-guruh, 493).
