- The supreme goal is that very Reality' which is the supreme and great light, the supreme and great tapas (that which impels and rules), the supreme and great
Brahman,
existence- consciousness-bliss, the supreme beatitude. It - or He - is the final end of all beings.
- It is by praising ever that all-pervading Visnu, who has neither beginning nor end (who is devoid of the six modes of existential change), who is the great Lord of all beings, who is the witness (overseer) of all things, that one gets beyond all sorrow.
- It is by worshipping the same Visnu that one gains the supreme good-worshipping always, with devotion - Visnu who is free from modification and destruction. The
summum
bonum is gained by meditating on Him, by praising Him, by paying obeisance to Him, i.e., by serving Him with mind, speech and body.
- Of all the dharmas, this is the greatest dharma-to worship the lotus-eyed Visnu, always with devotion. Man's highest duty is this-to praise the excellences of God, to sing His hymns, to offer worship to Him.
- It is by reciting the one-thousand Names, and thus praising the Lord of the Universe, the Lord of the Gods, the infinite, the supreme
Purusa, that one gets rid of all sorrow, is liberated from bondage.
