Can Hindus Coexist With Other Religions?

Hindus have throughout the centuries not only coexisted but provided a refuge for many other religious groups including Jews Christians, Zoroastrians, Muslims, and Bahais. The real question is whether non-Hindus can coexist with Hindus. Hindus have had to endure and still endure great efforts to convert them.

While Hindus have generally respected other religions, other religions, particularly Christianity and Islam have not respected them in return, and certainly have never taken any action to help protect Hindus or counter wrong ideas about what Hinduism is. This is particularly sad as Hinduism contains the deeper spiritual teachings that these other traditions often desperately need.
