shone as fine arts by his personal involvement and liberal patronage. And he was
renowned as the Sahiti samarangana chakravarthi for weilding sword and pen with
equal facility and efficiency that the history has very few equals to place
beside him. He authored many immortal works in Telugu and Sanskrit, the major
work being Amukta Malyada. His court was adorned with Ashtadiggajas - eight
elephantine poets of eternal fame, whose productions excelled the unexcelled
master pieces of the bygone day: and gained a covetable place among the books of
all times. And so the empire reached the zenith of glory due to all round
development, after his military conquests against the neighboring kings. His
amicability and refined relationship with foreigners, like Portuguese etc. was
remarkable and was eulogised in their books.
The
Vijayanagar style of temple construction reached the pinnacle of glory, by the
impact of his powerful personally and later it passed for an inimitable style.
And many likes came after this, imbibing its beauty in design. By his benign
rule, he kept aloft the torch of Hindu Dharma burning bright under the guidance
of all illustrious Madvamatacharya Vyasaraya whose rule as Rajaguru has a
legendary flavor although he was very much a historical personage.
